Seadog Sushi Bar Case Study



Seadog Sushi Bar is a modern, Michelin-recommended sushi bar nestled in Chicago’s eclectic Noble Square. It is known for it’s visually-appealing and creative dishes using high-quality ingredients. The restaurant partnered with Fetch to increase visibility across its social media pages and through local media outlets.


Website Design & Launch - It was a necessity for the restaurant to get a new website, given the fact that the current website was not responsive and visually outdated. Fetch presented the offer to create a new site so that we could house content intended for promotion on social media and improve SEO ranking. Fetch re-designed, developed and launched the website. The result was a more responsive site with desktop and mobile usability. We also added a blog page to house written and visual content.

Media Relations - Fetch identified top media outlets to reach the Seadog Sushi Bar target audience, and began a comprehensive media relations campaign to secure placements. Through ongoing pitching, including product demos and timely news stories about sushi, Fetch secured placements in key outlets such as Crain’s Chicago Business, TastyTrade and Chicagoist.

Influencer Relations - In addition to multiple print and online media placements, Fetch invited popular, local Instagrammers to sample dishes and share their experience on their social media channels. This resulted in thousands of engagements on Instagram and Snapchat, and visits to the website.

Social Media - With brand exposure as a key objective for the restaurant, Fetch created customized graphics designed for a variety of promotions and events. These visuals were posted on all Seadog Sushi Bar social media channels, and assisted in increasing engagement and followers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Email Marketing - Fetch created an email marketing campaign to increase traffic to the website. By incorporating original written and visual content, a total of 16 email campaigns were sent and resulted in a total of 297 clicks to the site.
